Frequently Asked Questions

The term "split" means divided or separated. It comes from English. A cooling device consisting of one outdoor unit and multiple indoor units is called a split air conditioner.

In addition to the initial investment cost of the device, operating costs should also be considered. Energy class and energy consumption values should be checked and compared with competitors.
Before purchasing an air conditioner, it is essential to request a capacity analysis from an authorized service. Based on this analysis, suitable models should be researched in the market.

BTU is an energy unit. It is an abbreviation formed from the initials of "British Thermal Unit." It represents the amount of energy required to increase the temperature of one pound of water by one degree Fahrenheit. This definition is valid for temperature changes measured under 1 atmosphere pressure.

SEER stands for "Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio," and SCOP stands for "Seasonal Coefficient Of Performance." They are indicators of energy efficiency for air conditioners. Before 2013, air conditioners used EER and COP values instead of SEER and SCOP. EER and SEER, as well as COP and SCOP, represent the same indicator values. The difference lies in the calculation methods. EER and COP were units of the old energy efficiency regulations, while SEER and SCOP are units of the new energy efficiency regulations implemented since 2014.

Air conditioning maintenance should be carried out regularly at least twice a year. The maintenance process should be performed by a technical service. Air filters should be thoroughly cleaned and freed from dust and dirt.

The maintenance and cleaning of your air conditioner should be done regularly by a service, and it should be operated within the ideal temperature range according to the season. Air conditioners used under these conditions will be long-lasting and energy-efficient.

The ideal temperature settings are 24-26 °C (75-79 °F) in summer and 20-22 °C (68-72 °F) in winter. We recommend using your air conditioner within these temperature ranges.

The capacity should be calculated by authorized services based on factors such as the geographical region or city, insulation of the installation area, window area, amount of sunlight exposure, number of people in the area, additional heat sources, and the size of the space.

In heating mode during winter, it is normal for water to drain from the outdoor unit. In summer, water drainage from the indoor unit is normal during cooling mode. There is no need to call a technical service for these water drainages.

All air conditioners operate at a certain noise level. The sound coming from your air conditioner may be from the outdoor unit's motor or the installation location. If you think the noise level has increased, contact our authorized service.

If the air conditioner emits a strange smell, it could be due to factors in the environment (such as food, dust, wooden furniture, etc.) or it might be a sign that the filters are dirty and need maintenance. The filter can be cleaned by the user. Another factor might be the drainage line to which other units like sinks or toilets are connected, which may cause odors to come from the air conditioner. If your air conditioner emits a bad smell, you should check its condition before calling the authorized service. If the problem cannot be solved, you can contact our authorized service for assistance.

Having maintenance carried out by authorized service is essential for both the device and your health. Neglected or delayed maintenance can cause bacterial growth that can lead to lung infections in living beings. Filters that are not cleaned periodically create an environment for pneumonia and mold formation, adversely affecting human health. Additionally, having your air conditioner maintained by an authorized service prevents potential malfunctions. Our recommendation is to have maintenance performed by an authorized service at least twice a year. For your health, we suggest cleaning the filters at the shortest intervals possible.

When following the instructions in the air conditioner user manual, it does not pose any harm to living beings. However, when using air conditioning, you should pay attention to the following details for human health:
  • Ventilate the environment at least once every hour for 2 minutes to increase oxygen levels.
  • Ensure that the air blown by the indoor unit does not directly hit individuals.
  • Regularly and thoroughly clean the filters.

The location of both the indoor and outdoor units should be determined based on a survey conducted by an authorized service. The indoor unit should not blow air directly onto individuals, and the outdoor unit should be positioned in a way that allows for proper air circulation in the outdoor area.

If the correct capacity device is selected and installed based on a proper survey, the electricity consumption of your air conditioner in a specific mode (KWh) is multiplied by the electricity company's unit price (TL/KWh) to obtain the result.

Example: If the air conditioner consumes 1 KWh in cooling mode and the electricity unit price is 0.45 TL/KWh, the calculation will be as follows: 1 (KWh) x 0.45 (TL/KWh) = 0.45 TL.
